Japan duo co-lead into final round in Nakhon Nayok

Amateur Yuto Watanabe and Tatsuhiko Takahashi, both from Japan, shared the lead entering the final round at the final stage of the ATGT’s qualifying school in Nakhon Nayok on Thursday.

Both were on 6-under in total with Yuto making a third round 68 while overnight leader Tatsuhiko firing a 71 at par-71 Watermill Golf Club & Resort. The 45-year-old Tatsuhiko won the Aiful Cup 2005 and UBS Japan Golf Tour Championship 2006 on Japan Tour.

First-round leader Pijit Petchkasem carded a 70 with four birdies and three bogeys to share third on 5-under with Mahasamuth Saiyasombat (70).

Tarik Can, who won the Aboitiz Invitational 2019 on PGT Asia in the Philippines earlier this year, fired six birdies and two bogeys for a 67. The American was joint 5th with Amarin Kraivixien (68) and Pitipat Pitimana-aree (70).

Oscar Zetterall of Sweden, who landed the ADT title this year, improved with a 69 to stand a chance to be in the top-40 and secure the ATGT card 2020.

Pre-tournament contender Thanatip Puaktes, who won here twice including last month’s win on ThaiPGA Tour, struggled with a 74 to stay tied for 22nd on 2-over.

สำหรับการแข่งขันรอบสุดท้ายวันศุกร์ที่ 13 ธ.ค. จะเริ่มแข่งขันกลุ่มแรกเวลา 7:00 น. โดยหลังจบรอบนักกอล์ฟที่ทำอันดับ 40 และเสมอ จะได้เป็นสมาชิกออลไทยแลนด์กอล์ฟทัวร์ลำดับสิทธิ์ที่ 15
